ABOUT

Johanna Sandell is a Finnish vocalist and songwriter with a distinctive voice and more than two decades of experience on stage and in the studio. She trained at the Pop & Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki. Her repertoire spans pop, soul, jazz and folk, and she sings in several languages.

She began her career as a teenager, when she signed a record deal with Universal Music. Since then, she has toured nationally, appeared in Finland’s Eurovision selections, worked with Finnish artists and producers, and performed at hundreds of private, corporate and international events.

During eight years as a full-time singer in Dubai, Johanna held residencies at five-star venues and performed at bespoke events across the Middle East. Those years shaped a broad repertoire and an intuitive ability to connect with audiences from different cultures.

In 2025, she reached the Live Shows on The Voice of Finland and joined Superstar Band as a vocalist. Today, she performs primarily solo, accompanying herself on guitar, and in a duo with pianist Mikko Heininen. When needed, the line-up can be expanded with additional musicians to suit the occasion and the atmosphere. She is also working on her debut album.
